Our Team

Reverend Steve Sweatman received his PhD in clinical psychology with an emphasis in cross-cultural adaptation from Biola University’s Rosemead School of Psychology. Since receiving his doctorate in 1995, Steve has occupied various roles as pastor, nonprofit founder, psychologist, professor, and most recently as president and CEO of Mission Training International (MTI), where he supervised the hospitality, training, and debriefing of more than 25,000 missionaries for 20 years.

Steve has been called by God to support cross-cultural messengers of the gospel to enable them and their families to experience effectiveness, endurance, and personal vitality. He is now the president of Project 23, based in Colorado Springs, USA. Steve’s hobbies include hiking, reading, golf, padel, pickleball, and traveling anywhere with his wife, Sheri.
